The first sacrament that Christians receive is Baptism, a welcoming into the family of Christ. This sacrament involves the pouring of water to symbolize both the washing away of sin and also the living water which Christ promises to deliver to those who follow Him.
For Infants:
The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated each month with the exception of during the seasons of Lent and Advent.
To assure that parents have a full understanding of what it means to have their child baptized into the Catholic faith, they will be asked to participate in formation opportunities. We are using a program, “Reborn”, which is a sacramental prep series on Formed.org. Currently, parents and godparents view and discuss these episodes at home. We anticipate we will be able to host in-person sessions in the future.
Parents are asked to call Stacey O'Bryan, Director of Religious Education.
